Another Week

This has been another uneventful week. I am coming to a close on the corrections to the Mid-Year Financial Report as Ambria has done a lot of the work. Campaign contributions has slowed down significantly since the session came to a close. It seems that current contributions are tied to Justin making public appearances across America with his message.

Not much is going on in Nashville now that the elections are over, and we have a new Mayor. For now, I will hold my comments on this incoming Administration, but I am not comfortable with the direction Nashville may go in. I don’t think it will be politics as usual due to the incoming council members, but I don’t think there will be any force to stop them on their spend-thrift mindset. The majority of the council is made up of women (one is transgender that I don’t count) and are Democrats.

The first study that will be conducted by the O’Connell Administration is moving the start time for high school students to later in the morning. Some entity is going to profit as it will be selected to do the study, which will take about 18 months. And I am sure the cost of that study will be in the six-figure range. I am just waiting for the next item of business that will cost the taxpayers.

Nothing new on the home front. I started working on my final project for WVLP, and I hope to have it completed by the end of September. Mama is still hanging on, but her memory is getting worse by the day. The boys are doing okay in school, and I am still teaching online. So, for now we are still a very blessed family.

This is my Thought for the Day.
