A dictator has been elected the 47th President of the United States of America, and white men have gained control of Congress. It is going to be a rough ride for the next two years, by then voters will be feeling the pain of their decision and Democrats will regain control of the U.S. House.
I believe the Democratic Party is going to have to do some serious soul-searching. There are issues within the Democratic Party that many voters cannot or will not accept, and it is time for Democrats to be honest with themselves. Democrats must review the Democratic platform and ask why are so many not in agreement with it.
Why did so many not vote? Why did so many vote for him? Why do Democrats continue to fall short with specific voting groups? Why are we a divided nation?
Yes, I am disappointed because this was a point in time when America needed to come together. We needed to stop the name-calling, stop the disparaging remarks, stop the demeaning of different cultures/beliefs, and stop the threats of violence toward those we disagree with.
Misogyny and Racism were the winners in America on 5 November 2024.
