I attended a local political event on May 22nd. The majority of local government elected officials attended, and I saw a few people I recognized. However, the host of the event did not make me feel welcome. I stayed for about 45 minutes.
I also attended a political protest on May 26th. I met some people in different counties, and was able to hand out a few candidate announcements, and ask for donations.
I have decided to give my political run a name – My Last Run. I have been sending messages to individuals letting them know that I am running. I am a bit disappointed that I have not heard back from Russ as much as I have supported; the least he could have done was respond with an okay. I am very intimidated by this venture, but it is to late to turn back now. I can only go forward.
