I spoke for about two minutes at the 2025 DCDP Honors Dinner. I also found out that I need to visit each county election commission to obtain voter lists. I wonder why no one told me that. I am finding out that the people who I thought would have encouraged me have been mute. I am given a lot of names to contact, but not the actual contact information.
The Mayor of Maury County is in the race, and he has the backing of the high roller Democrats. He should have announced months ago, and I am sure no one else would have submitted their application to run. I was contacted by Rep. Jim Cooper and asked to remove myself from the race. I was deflated beyond words. I am staying in, but I won’t be spending a lot of money.
