It has been a few weeks since I finished 3rd in the Congressional race. Yes, a part of me wanted to win, but I felt a sense of freedom when the realization of not winning was confirmed. I do not believe that my body would have been able to withstand 3 more months of campaigning.
I have attended a few public events, post-campaign. I think it is important to remain active within the community. No, I won’t be running for any position, but I will work on campaigns that I believe are worth my time.
I saw a different side of the Democratic Party, and I will tread lightly going forward.
